From Milan
to Melbourne

Translating a high-end brand into a high-end shopfront saw Diadem tailor a new façade for a premium Collins Street location.

Diadem was engaged to oversee the façade refurbishment of Ermenegildo Zegna’s flagship Melbourne store.

Ermenegildo Zegna

Shaping a world-class
brand for Melbourne

Ermenegildo Zegna is a luxury men’s fashion house based in Milan. The brand’s Melbourne location matches its reputation, standing proudly among similar upmarket brands at the glamorous Paris-end of Collins Street.

When it was time to create a new façade for this prestigious location, the brand needed to make a statement that would respect the existing architecture and evoke the essence of luxury.

Diadem was selected to ensure the project was masterfully executed with no loose ends.

A shared love
of detail and craft

Diadem’s design engineering team oversaw the delivery of a stunning façade while minimising cost without compromising quality.

Considering all aspects of the site – from foot traffic to the industrial design review – Diadem elected to remove the existing module and procure a replacement. This was then craned into place, with all aspects of safety managed as a paramount concern. As the store is adjacent to a hotel, installation times were restricted to a small operation window.

The result is a façade that clearly tells a refined brand story to passers-by in Melbourne’s traditional high-end fashion precinct.
