Hitting a
new height

When a brand wants to go big and bold, a sky sign is the answer. Diadem delivered two for Salesforce’s impressive new building in Sydney.

Salesforce engaged Diadem to deliver sky signage for its new APAC HQ, navigating the needs of multiple stakeholders and the local council.

An elevated
platform

At 55 storeys, Salesforce Tower has been officially crowned the tallest office building in Australia. It stands as the centrepiece of Sydney Place, which includes a plaza and activated laneways, built as part of a $5 billion redevelopment of the Circular Quay precinct.

Salesforce, the anchor tenant, was keen to maximise this tower’s exposure on the Sydney skyline. With its extensive experience working on similarly prominent towers worldwide, Diadem was engaged to deliver.

Documenting
visual impact

The tower is positioned at the northern end of Sydney’s CBD, close to iconic landmarks, including the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Because it is clearly visible from these and other prominent locations around Circular Quay, a visual impact study was prepared for both the client and the council.

This study directed the design, scale and height of the sky signs on the tower’s north and west sides. A comparative audit of other prominent sky signs across Sydney’s CBD demonstrated that the Salesforce signage was in keeping with previously approved signs.

An integrated
approach

Salesforce and the precinct’s project managers trusted Diadem to manage the sky signage at every stage, from design development to structuring, engineering coordination, manufacturing, and execution. Diadem’s integrated service model ensures brand integrity is maintained alongside the successful delivery of the sky sign.

Their brand is now one of the most prominent on Sydney’s skyline, visible from key locations around the harbour, and heralding Salesforce’s presence in the region.
