For its new flagship tower in Melbourne’s Paris end of Collins Street, longstanding client Dexus turned to Diadem to realise its vision without sacrificing the design intent.

Diadem executed key signage elements, including statutory, wayfinding, laneway, retail and sky signage for a new tower on one of Melbourne’s most significant corners.

An aspirational
address

The new dual-tower at 80 Collins Street by Woods Bagot brings together premium businesses, high-end retail and on-trend laneway dining.

Diadem was engaged by longstanding clients Dexus and QIC to execute wayfinding, digital directories, retail signage for luxury brands, laneway signage and sky signage for Macquarie Bank.

Across the mixed-use tower, all elements reflect the aspirational quality of this address in Melbourne’s ‘Paris End’ with high-end finishes such as stainless steel and various forms of brass.

Big screen
experience

A showpiece of the 80 Collins arrival experience is a commanding 12-metre by 8-metre digital screen in the south tower lobby. Precision design and engineering ensured the screen operates at its best, with the screen now showcasing digital art curated by Art Pharmacy.

Once again, Diadem collaborated with the design team at Ongarato to translate their concept to reality, prototyping materials, safeguarding designs, and delivering to the builder’s program.

A deep trust between Diadem and clients Multiplex, QIC and Dexus enabled a seamless delivery process, even given the limited prototyping period and the high-end materials required.

With its extensive supply chain and experience working on CBD projects of a similar scale, Diadem delivered.

Sky sign

Sky signs provide a unique opportunity for brands to draw attention to the most prominent positions on a city’s skyline. Diadem worked with Macquarie Bank to maximise the potential of a sky sign on this significant new tower.

Clear and concise documentation ensured Multiplex trusted Diadem implicitly from concept to implementation.
