Delivering value
at every stage

The $1.2 billion Perth Children’s Hospital is Western Australia’s dedicated home of paediatric health. The 298-bed hospital provides tertiary-level health services and critical secondary health services including inpatient and outpatient care and ambulatory care services.

Diadem was appointed to deliver the signage and wayfinding component of this complex project. Beyond simply providing and installing the signage, Diadem led a range of project intervention services to ensure the final signage package met all the functional and operational criteria of the new hospital.

A vital part of Diadem’s service was reviewing the concept designs and signage schedules provided by the client to identify gaps, review materials and construction methods.

An active
collaboration

Diadem collaborated with Point Advisory to use Building Information Modeling (BIM) / Revit, to document the signage requirements.

Signage locations and content were input into the Revit model for the development and coordinated with architectural features, services and sightlines.

From concept development through to final construction stages, this revealed clash detection, which allowed Diadem’s approach to adapt to architectural changes to the building.

“The Diadem team was able to navigate their way through a complex approval process, drive efficiencies in the design through their industry and materiality/fabrication knowledge, and ultimately deliver a better product at a reduced cost.

On a large scale complex project, I can recommend Diadem for their ability to drive value into the wayfinding and signage delivery while maintaining the design integrity.”
