A new community
takes shape

The mission of the not-for-profit group Vasey is to provide premium independent living, especially for those who have spent time engaged on service missions.

Its latest offering is a 12-storey residence in the northern Sydney suburb of Waitara, which takes its name from the Kokoda Trail. To match the high standard of design detail in the project, Vasey engaged Diadem for a complete signage and wayfinding suite.

Simple and
sophisticated

Diadem’s approach complements the building’s refined architecture and reflects the project’s themes of warmth community. It also responds to the specific needs of the estate’s predominantly older community.

The result is signage with an intuitive approach and refined appeal, strategically placed to optimise the resident journey throughout each space.

Warm and
welcoming

Diadem’s concept designs showcased natural textures and refined details. Signs feature a highly legible typeface, while the messaging is mounted on timber to match the building’s earthy colour palette, architectural form, and tree-lined surroundings.

The timber was purposefully steam-treated to take on the project’s signature curved forms, reflecting the Kokoda landscape.
