Barangaroo Precinct
Barangaroo precinct was an opportunity and a privilege to work with leading organisations on signage for an evolving Sydney skyline.


Barangaroo is one of the most ambitious urban renewal projects in the world today, embodying world-class design and sustainability. This major investment aims to make Sydney a preferred destination for major organisations in Asia-Pacific.

The multi-award winning precinct is redefining Sydney’s western edge and is a project committed to building a lasting legacy for future generations.


A 22 hectare, $6+ billion world-class addition to the western edge of Sydney’s skyline with 2km of public waterfront and zero carbon emissions.

High-level signage

Major organisations PwC, HSBC, Westpac-owned BT and St George Bank, along with head developer Lendlease, have relocated to the precinct.


The development consists of three towers where each tenant has a prominent sky sign.

Each brand is different, so each project is a separate execution, posing its own set of technical and illumination issues.

Our involvement was to ensure that all of the signs had the same equity in terms of legibility, scale, positioning, intensity and brand recognition. 


Diadem collaborated with each of these organisations in the planning, design and delivery of the sky signs.  The precinct holds a major presence when viewed from the west, providing postcard views of the city. It was essential for all building signage to be seen as a unified collective. Our involvement was to ensure that all signs had the same equity in terms of legibility, scale, positioning, intensity and brand recognition.

Diadem has successfully executed over 20 sky signs across the Sydney CBD including JP Morgan, Westfield, Macquarie Bank, Credit Suisse and ANZ Bank.

Drawing on this experience, we developed solutions that considered each tenant’s individual brand as well as the precinct collectively.

Sky signs are a permanent expression of a company’s brand identity. Our approach is to ensure the best possible brand visibility and exposure for our clients that also takes into consideration long-term lifecycle management of the signage.
