Insight
Professor Per Mollerup, author of Wayshowing>Wayfinding addresses the fundamental importance of wayfinding principles.

We all intuitively use strategies when navigating in unknown territory. Most people, however, don’t know that they know and use them.

Communication theories have practical applications in the built environment. Customer experience has emerged as the single most important aspect in achieving success for companies across all industries.

Diadem believes good wayfinding and journey planning contribute to a positive customer experience that positively impacts efficiency and increases brand loyalty.

Diadem combines strategy, creative design, information technology and management smarts to enhance behaviour and optimise the customer experience process.

Good wayfinding means knowing where you are, knowing your destination, following the best route to your destination and recognising your destination when you arrive.

The approach is shared by Professor Per Mollerup, a design thinker, writer and professor of communication design at Swinburne University of Technology. He is the author of four books, including Wayshowing>Wayfinding (2013), and has presented a lecture series in Australia, Europe and America about the fundamental importance of wayfinding principles.
